Amen Ministries seeks to assist the dysfunctional and the imprisoned transform their lives, by providing love, shelter and guidance encouraging the formation of a solid Christian foundation with strong morals, unyielding responsibility, productive service to God Almighty, family and the community.
Prisons were designed to rehabilitate criminals by modifying their behavior. Yet many criminals return to prison soon after release because they commit a similar or even more serious criminal offense. Even with the allure of personal freedom after years of incarceration many ex-convicts find their way back to prison. Many ex-convicts return to the same dysfunctional criminal environment and are unable to break free to establish a positive solid healthy lifestyle.
Studies recognize that it is ultimately more effective to change an individual's BELIEFS which can motivate an individual to change their own BEHAVIOR. Amen Ministries' goal is to assist ex-convicts instill a positive set of core beliefs with Christ as the cornerstone.
Amen Ministries can help ex-offenders endure the dangerous 6 month period when many ex-offenders are tempted to commit another criminal offense by providing a comprehensive program with individual instruction of a life management curriculum that includes:

Job Training Money Management
The Life Management course will be taught by trained volunteer staff working individually and in group session helping ex-offenders understand and meet the many challenges they face in returning as a functioning part of society.
Ex-offenders will also perform voluntary community service assignments working locally with neighborhood associations, city and county officials, selecting tasks that provide needed services to poor, disadvantaged, elderly as well as special community projects benefiting community at large.
