The Life Management courses will be taught by trained volunteer staff in classroom, individual and group sessions. Certificates of completion will be issued for each course as well as for the entire life management program.
Stress & Anger Management:
The majority of ex-offenders lack the understanding and the self discipline to control anger and stress. This course can help individuals understand and handle stress, control anger and avoid violence.
Self Esteem:
The belief and understanding that we are all children of the Almighty Father and earnestly seeking His forgiveness. We are entitled to salvation which is the essential ingredient for an ex-offender to regain self esteem. This knowledge will allow an individual to receive blessing and rewards promised in the bible and help release an ex-offender from the bondage of repeat offenders.
Parenting Skills:
Parenting in today's society is difficult enough, being an ex-offender absent from your child's life for a long period of time will require guidance to re-establish broken or lost parenting relationships with either minor or adolescent children.
Relationship Skills:
Re-establishing healthy intimate relationships with a spouse after a long period of absence is difficult for an ex-offender. Often there are questions of fidelity and trust which need to be dealt with calmness, compassion, and honesty. Also there are key choices to be made when deciding which relatives, friends, and co-workers to establish an ongoing relationship with for the future.
Money Management:
Understanding and establishing a money management strategy can help grow modest income into sufficient income amounts that an ex-offender can achieve personal income goals. Understanding the biblical principals to money management especially tithing is key to the course.
Job Training:
The objective would be ex-offenders understanding the many real and complex issues they face in attaining meaningful short-term and long-term employment. This would help each ex-offender understand their individual strengths and weaknesses. Preparing each to determine their opportunities for long-term employment.
